I don't think much revenue is made on these websites. Not unless you're determined to make money and spend all your time on them every day.
Working over the Christmas period may be a good idea. Also if you're looking for something full time outside of your current work you can try applying for work at catering companies. The one's that host parties during the evening can often pay out more. You don't often need experience, as they will train you on the job. Roles include waiter, food service assistant etc.
Where do you live? This is also a factor of employment. As you never know opportunities, until you go out and do some research of yourself around the area.

Most people just get a part time job. _________________

If you like writing, and like several interests you can also freelance write for magazines and newspapers. You do all your research, then create your article, then send either a cover letter or synopsis(depending what country your in) to the editor selling them your story. You'll have to send quite a lot before you get accepted to one, but you earn really good money per word for it. I'm just getting started in this field myself. I'm getting into it, mainly because writing is a passion of mine and I would to explore writing further. This will also be my second or third income gainer. I have a casual temporary job working in stadiums with a catering money, and I earn £50 per game. I'm still in process of finding a full time job in a field closer to my University degree.
Good Luck, in finding a field you like to gain more money calum

If you can write then you can make a lot of money, many people are looking for copy writers, ghost writers etc. The better you write, the more you will get paid. _________________

There are, severall of them online. Best thing in this industry is to make it out on your own, do some research, write the story, then pitch it to the editors. As many as you want. Of course your going to get rejected, but that's part of it. Eventually someone will like your writing, and you'll be able to come up with a compromise on it, and a fee.

Not necessarily, it depends alot on the magazine/newspaper or editor, and what their terms are. Your writing credibility won't rise, just because it's 5 stars.

I believe he is talking about online content writing for supplemental income, not traditional journalism. _________________

And that's what I meant, general writing and selling content and not just journalism. Most of the selling and writing goes hand in hand with the original rules of the editor and their terms. Be it through the Internet or magazine. Some will not like your content, others will and you will get a good pay for it based, on what words they are expecting and how they pay.
