Clerks II
Funny movie. I laughed hard. Not a very sophisicated humor but then again I was not really expecting that.
Also for a wide release it was a relatively low budget film but they made a profit from the opening weekend, not many big budget films can say that.
I give this movie a thumbs up _________________

so is this clerks humour or 'jay and silent bob strike back' humour as I loved clerks but smith's films got progressively too 'hollywood' as time went on _________________

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is very Hollywood. Kevin Smith made several films by then, and he did well in terms of ROI. So, he and his producer got a pretty substantial amount of funding for the movie. The movie became very Hollywood-ish as a result. Kevin Smith claims that Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back looks very clean and organized as a movie, which I agree, but ... it took out Kevin Smith-ish style ironically.
BTW, how's this compared to Clerks, the original one? _________________

It was interesting how Kevin Smith said that Jay and Silent Bob were never coming back after "Jay and Silent Bob strikes back" but yet he wrote another Jersey movie with them in it. Although it'd be hard to think of Clerks without Jay and Bob.
I liked the movie (have seen it about 5 times), but then again I like a lot of what Kevin Smith does.

I don't think anything can compare to the original clerks. But this movie was pretty good. I didn't like the ending (not the very ending) but when they're all in the room and it gets all emotional... that was pretty weak and not like Kevin Smith. _________________

The New Jersey trilogy was originally supposed to be 3 movies, but money talks. _________________

Smith didn't just try to "go Back to the Well". He did make the movie respectable as it itself and not just a sequel. The movie wraps everything in a nice shiny bow, and should be a nice addition to any clerks fans. _________________
