Johnny Depp is entitled to his opinions (whatever they may be). If he's unhappy with the state of America today, it's perfectly within his rights to say so. in the same vein, we may not agree with Wagner's fascist and anti-Semetic leanings but his Wedding March is still popular. (Well, except in synagogues.) _________________

I like him. In most of his performances that is.... Secret window just sucked!! However there is no denying the man's ability to act!!!

Latetly I have had the opportunity to understand Johnnys acting better, through various films. He has a certain stance in he's acting, it's quite interesting to watch. It's quite mesmorising as it's like an inner patience on screen.

Check him out in Benny and Joon, he did some fantastic physical comedy bits. _________________

Fear and Loathing in las vegas I've said it before and I'll say it again, he played Raul Duke just like Hunter S. Thompson spoke and walked and talked... he was awesome... other films too but F&L was his best. _________________

Hmm, sounds like I would like Fear and Loathing; I wasn't aware of its existence. I'll be putting it on my Netflix queue. _________________

Dude, really. We've got a little thing in this country called free speech, and Depp was just exercising his right to it. And BTW, I'd really love to see a link to a legitimate site where he said exactly what you're attributing to him. Please.
And anyway, I don't give a rat's behind what an actor's politics are. If I enjoy his/her work, I enjoy it period. He could be a Karl Marx worshiping communist who thinks America is the devil. I really wouldn't care. _________________ Shamelessly Pimpin'

Perzactly! As long as you enjoy the guy's work, enjoy it. His personal life/beliefs are irrelevant. _________________ Shamelessly Pimpin'

I love JD, he doesn't care what other people think about his carrier, he just played the roles that he thinks would be fun for him, and would strengthen his personal opinion of himself. _________________

I've just seen him in the New Willie Wonka and the chocolate factory movie, and found him to be quite inspiring.

I saw that for the first time a couple of days ago too. His performance reminded me a lot of Teatime in Hogfather, I wonder if Depp influenced that performance or vice-versa? _________________
