Seven astronauts embark on a long mission to pilot a bomb to reignite the dying Sun, and encounter the empty ship from a previous failed mission. A series of mistakes quickly puts their lives and mission in jeopardy as well. In many ways Sunshine was reminiscent of 2001, though I didn't think it needed the almost comic-book-like villain character; I think the story would have stood well enough on its own.
