Here we go! Twisted Evil

I always thought it was overrated. I watched Blade Runner as a child, and as a Han Solo/Indiana Jones fan. Blade Runner was far too slow and laborious, the sets and cinematography were wasted on me, I just wanted to see lasers and aliens. What kind of Sci-Fi was this????????? Shocked

When I watch it now I appreciate how good a movie it actually is, but it still does little for me.

what would you ever rank as a better sci fi?? the Wrath of Khan? that is the real issue - what movie is better. not many.

Blade Runner is a great movie if perhaps a little too languorous for my taste. I'm looking forward to renting the cut they're releasing to see what I think of the changes.

I am not sure I know what "languorous" means.

Like I said, I like my sci-fi a bit more juvenile.

Having said that the Alien and Terminator franchises are pretty shit hot.

I agree those movies are good ones, and maybe the first Terminator was on a close to equal level - but as good as Blade Runner, I guess I dont see it. they are limited in scope to Blade.

Blade Runner is underrated by todays youth. It was a masterpiece then and it still is today. It sci-fi meets Film Noir. It's a slow methodical story that has near perfect execution. I have seen all the cuts and even fully listened to all the director comments. This is a top 5 sci-fi movie without doubt. None of the Star Wars movies are anywhere near as good as Blade Runner.

i agree that the younger movie watchers today consider some of the recent trash to be "great" and these movies are not even close to Blade Runner IMO.
