There's also a documentary called Spellbound, and I remember a movie from when I was a kid called "To Spell Freedom" (or something like that) about a Vietnamese refugee who wins the national spelling bee. And I vaguely remember another movie from a few years ago with the kid imagining the letters growing like vines. I'm blanking on the name though.

Er, I just looked it up on IMDB and the movie was "The Girl Who Spelled Freedom" and she was a Cambodian refugee, not Vietnamese. And the other movie I was talking about was probably "Bee Season".

Bee Season!! I remember that one. That was a strange movie about powers and being able to see words, etc
