Norton is another amazing actor, he was great in American History X and of course Fight Club.

I am not sure how I would rate him on any scale, but it would definetly be over the half way point.

Edward Norton is an odd one because he doesn't seem like he belongs in Hollywood. I'm not sure if he acts, as much as he reads his lines. He just "looks" the role.

It's also strange because Norton looks like a nerd to be honest, but movies like American History X and 25th Hour have portrayed him as a "tough guy" of sorts. His characters are realistic in the sense that he's one those guys that look like you can push around, but will kick your ass if you do. I suppose this is why confidence plays such an imperative role in life. Norton can easily get passed off as a lonely nerd, if anything.

Are you sure that you have seen Fight Club. I thought that he did a great job acting that movie out. Also American History X, neither of those roles were "easy"

All he did was talk in American History X and have sex.

Fight Club is a cool movie, but it's been a while. I'm sure Norton's capable of performing more dimensions of his character. Just doesn't really show it in 25th and X.

Death to Smoochy
Rounders
Everyone Says I Love You
Primal Fear (90% of the movie)

He looks kind like a lonely nerd in these movies, and he looks very different from him in movies like American History X and 25th Hour. This is where I find his skills with a pretty solid evidence.

I've seen Death to Smoochy. Don't remember much of Norton's part in it, but the movie was okay.

I heard Rounders is a good movie so I might have to pick it up one day.

Sean Gullette of acclaimed scifi movie Pi, looks and talks a lot like Edward Norton. I bet he can pull off a similar performance to what Norton's capable of at a tenth of his asking price. Smile

If I think about him, yes, you're right. He does resemble Edward Norton ...

The image above didn't resolve properly. Here's another one...

Did you watch Pi? What were your thoughts on it?

I enjoyed it. Many of movies that deal with science and technology do very poor jobs, but this one is more than all right.

1. Black and white is just right. It sets an appropriate tone for the movie.

2. The movie does not try to explain what Euler Theorem is or what differential geometry is. It fails most of the time; this movie's director and writer understand that, and they don't bother doing that.

2.2. The movie tries to focus on what the main character is after spiritually. This enables the audience to connect to him (if the audience understands his motivation).

3. Good ending. It wraps up the story nicely and it really summarizes the essence of the story.

Hmm, I rented it because I heard how good it was. When I suspected I'd watched an hour's worth, the meter measured a cruel 20 minutes. The picture quality was so grainy, I thought it was due to allocating their primary budget in bribing critics.

Different strokes...

One of the best of his generation. My first standout performance was him in the movie with Richard Gere having to do with the church murders. I can't remember it for the life of me, even though I read the book long before the movie came out.

He was awesome in that. Also as mentioned, Fight Club, American History X.

Even in the poker movie with Matt Damon, he was good. Definately one of my favorite actors.

Primal Fear. A lot of critics were talking about him and saying that he was going to be one of the most influential actors of our generation before the movie came out. His screening was quite impressive apparently.

He really looked like a tough guy in American History X, and it's quite impressive how he transformed himself like that physically.

Rounders. One of those helpless losers ... He was it ...

He is a very good actor!! I've liked him in every role he's played (that I've seen).
