Based on a New Yorker article about the modern slave trade, this is the story of a young Mexican girl and a would-be immigrant from Poland who get kidnapped and sold into prostitution. The girl's brother manages to track them to the U.S. border, where he teams up with a cop trying to find a long lost daughter he believes was similarly sold.
