An innocent young lass in an animated wonderland finds a prince, but before they can wed the prince's evil stepmother pushes her into a magical waterfall that takes her to another dimension... Times Square, New York City. Giselle has a few things to teach New York about love, and New York teaches her a little assertiveness in turn. A very simplistic but visually stunning movie, and Disney is obviously starting to heed criticisms about their sometimes misogynistic, stereotypical characters, except for one thing... Giselle ends up designing Princess-y clothing for little girls under her own designer label. Merchandising tie-in, anyone?
