Adam Sandler movies

Not a fan. I just don't get them. He's not that funny in my opinion.

Why do they piss me off? Because someone keep on letting him make them?! Laughing

How many are there now?

Adam Sandler fans flame away!

Spanglish
Punch-Drunk Love

I've seen Punch Drunk Love but not Spanglish.

Punch Drunk Love was okay but it wasn't a typical Adam Sandler movie anyway. It was a Paul Thomas Anderson film and if anyone was going to get a decent performance out of Adam Sandler it would be him.

Boogie Nights is one of my all-time favourite films. Paul Thomas Anderson is a great director.

Watch it with the Director's commentary on (preferably stoned, ooops did I say that? Twisted Evil )... fascinating stuff.

Huh ... It's been a while since I watched the movie, and I've never watched the director commentary. I guess I'll have to check it out ...

I just watched a movie of his last night with Drew Barrymore - mid-funny.
Funniest bit were the seals kissing at the end.
Other than that, the script was ok.

Ah, The Wedding Singer. That one wasn't that funny. It was more of a "feel good" romance. To me the best part was when Sandler left the stage and the band kept playing the same song over and over with the weird, gayish keyboardist on vocals.

I love the Wedding Singer and Happy Gilmore...Billy Madison and The Waterboy are some others that I think are great. I do have a slight taste for "stupid funny" movies, but some I can't stand...I think Adam Sandler does pretty well with this.

Although, Happy Gilmore and The Wedding Singer are just good plots, so that probably has a lot to do with it. I like Sandler, funny man Smile

Until recently, all of his work was self paid, films like Billy Maderson, Happy Gilmore and Big Daddy were all very low budget...its only scince Mr Deeds and Anger Management that he has been earning real cash...his films are great! Mr. Green

It never did get better than Billy Madison.

All of Sandler's movies follow more or less the same theme - retard finds true love at the end.

Billy Madison
Water Boy
Happy Gilmore
Anger Management
Mr. Deeds
Punch-Drunk Love
Spanglish (he's a retard for cheating on Tei Leoni)

The list goes on...
