Terry Gilliam

Anyone a fan of director Terry Gilliam? Here's his filmography:

# Tideland (2006)
# The Brothers Grimm (2005)
# Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998)
# 12 Monkeys (1995)
# The Fisher King (1991)
# The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1989)
# Brazil (1985)
# Time Bandits (1982)
# Jabberwocky (1977)
# Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975)

Although some of his films are seriously flawed I have a lot of respect for Gilliam. He has a big, bold visual style and a unique but powerful talent for storytelling. His films tantalize the senses.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, 12 Monkeys, The Fisher King and Brazil are my favourites of his films.

Tell me yours!

12 Monkeys. This is one of better SCI-FIs, IMO. Good visual and also good story.

I do like a Gilliam movie, not seen The Brothers Grimm yet though must get hold of a copy.

Time Bandits is my favourite, I have a signed photo of Kenny Baker playing Fidget. Not a bought one, I really met him.

12 Monkeys, Brazil and DEFINITELY Time Bandits are great movies. And then toss in The Holy Grail and most other directors would KILL for 4 great flicks.

It is rare that any director makes more than four movies that people remember. If he/she manages to do that, then I'd say that he's a pretty established director.

I didn't realize Brazil was a Gilliam film! Wow - he's done far more than I had thought.

Brazil is brilliant, but not for everyone. Same with Time Bandits.

Fear and Loathing - awesome, aided by Johnny Depp's great job at putting on HST.
The Holy Grail - classic
I'd have to say that he's a great comedic director -
