Vitus
I saw the film Vitus last night, and thought it was fabulous. It was basically every geek's fantasy... the title character is a child prodigy who tires of being out of the ordinary and fakes a head injury so he won't be pressured to perform, but still uses his skills to make a ton of money on the stock market, bail out his father's company, and finally fly off in a private plane to become a concert pianist. You can't help but root for the weird little guy.
If anyone else sees this movie, tell me your opinion of the scene with his beloved grandfather in the hospital; do you think the grandfather pulled a Vitus and faked a head injury? Or do you think Vitus wrote the letter himself as a way of comforting his parents? I'm not sure how to interpret that scene. _________________
