March of the Penguins

Has anyone seen it? It's the one that follows the breeding patterns of the Emporer Penguin and Morgan Freeman is the narrator.

I'm pretty glad I watched it alone and not with the girlfriend. I got pretty sad at parts and it might have tarnished my manly reputation Razz

I was highly disappointed by this film because I paid to watch it.

You're probably thinking, "So did I." But I'm thinking, "Why?"

Why would you pay to watch something that should've been broadcasted free on the Discovery Channel? I see more or less the same nature observations on Animal Planet sans Morgan Freedman's narration.

We now own the film on DVD. This is a great documentary and says much about the life cycle of these animals. Because they exhibit such human-like qualities it serves to remind that humans are not the only sentient creatures on earth.

I saw it. Couldn't stand it. I mean, okay for the genre, but a bit redundant.

Ok, most documentaries have limited entertainment value probably do belong on TV. But this one was a cut above, and I don't mind paying to see a documentary like that because I know some of the money went towards programs helping these animals.
