I have not yet seen the films because the books are Christian morality tales and so it turns me off to think of a major studio espousing the religiousness of the books in telling the tale again. _________________

I'm curious to see this film too. It's nice to hear a review about it, I wonder if there is anyone out there who has seen it also?

Toucan42, I don't know if I was just dense at that age or what, but when I was a kid we read The Chronicles of Narnia in school and I didn't even notice the religious overtones until the very end, when Aslan comes back to life. "Hey wait a minute!" I thought. "Why does this sound an awful lot like Jesus?" I wonder if they still read it in schools today. _________________

I would like to know what you mean by this? There is some morality within the book, however I didn't notice how it could be directed toward any one religion.
Many religions have similar moralities. It is just the people that interpret the books in odd ways and think that killing of others in the name of a book makes sense. Even though forbade it explicitly. _________________
