I like his earliear films. I'm not too crazy about his recent ones. But, I read a number of very positive reviews about this film, so I think I'll watch it at some point.

I think he sometimes uses people's emotional reactions in a way that's a little exploitive, and I certainly don't watch Michael Moore's works for their entertainment value, but drawing attention to something that's broken in our system of government--especially something that affects every single one of us like healthcare--is a very necessary and important thing.

Michael Moore and Sanjay Gupta/Wolf Blitzer have been duking it out over Sicko on CNN... http://www.michaelmoore.com/sicko/news/article_10017.php

I'm sure Moore was criticizing CNN in general there, bit off topic for Sicko but sure stirred up controversy!

Michael Moore has been right in both of his two major documentaries, Fahrenheit 9/11 and Sicko. He takes it to an extreme, but he showed Bush for who he was before most others did, and he also brought the topic of health care to mainstream debate.

Our Health System is in need of major refinement. Drug companies have infiltrated several levels of service, from the United States Congress to the family doctor.

Sometimes crap needs to be stirred, if there is ever to be any change.

I dont think there was any illusion about the Bush family ties to Saudis, etc long before Fahrenheit 9/11. Moore does documentaries that dont get seen by many people, so he has to go on shows start fight and create press so a few more people will go see it.

I haven't seen it but I've read up on it. Apparently very little of the stuff he says in it is actually backed.

I have not yet seen the movie but in my book anyone who can get people discussing the messed up health care system we have is a good cookie.

For some reason, this thread has turned into bemoaning of Michael Moore …

Who watched “Sicko”? Those of you who watched the movie, what did you think about it?
