Owen Wilson suside attempt?
By any chance did you know why Owen Wilson slashed his wrists. I read it in the news paper. I dunno what went wrong, he is a goos actor and gets decent movie projects!
Personal probs I guess! Anyone heard about this?

I doubt it was money or health issues, so I'm guessing love. Even celebrities can be lonely.
Whatever it is, it's none of our business. _________________

Of course, but this isn't a choice. More so, an invasion. Whereas the public have a choice, in what they read and what they believe.

I don't believe we're entitled to know someone's deepest secrets just because their face is recognizable from movies or TV.
What if the reason for his suicide involved someone else? Do we have a right to know everything about them too? _________________

I couldn't agree with you more.

Ok, let's assume, for the sake of argument, movie stars have no right to privacy whatsoever. What about their significant others? Children? _________________

get out of the business if you are worried about that. lets be honest here. Owen Wilson is tens of millions of dollars and his face is in front of hundreds of millions of people a year. he is living a completely different life then 99.9% of the rest of the world's population. But to be in that .1% there are certain things that you have to deal with. He knew that going in. _________________

So you'd allow him the right to privacy back if he retires from movies, right? _________________

He attempted to retire from life. I hope he'll change his mind about that, because his life is just as precious as anyone else's. We, the movie-going audience, can help him best by giving the man a little privacy while he gets some help and gets his life back together. If he wants to talk about it in interviews and return to the movie star lifestyle that's his decision to make, but until then let's do the man a favor and give him some breathing room.
My life will not be affected one bit by not knowing why Owen Wilson tried to commit suicide. This is a matter for his family, his friends, and hopefully a good therapist, minister, or other counselor.
(Of course I'm dreaming here. I'm sure the tabloids and paparazzi won't let up until they have all the gory details.) _________________
