"The Amityville Horror" Collector's DVD Released
"The Amityville Horror" 4 Disc (yes! 4 Discs!) Set was released yesterday.
Included with The Set is one certificate valid for admission to see the remake of The Amityville Horror, in theatres April 15, 2005.

I havent seen the DVD set, so I can't rate it, but I would give the first THE AMITYVILLE HORROR an A- . It was scary!

Anybody read the book? IMO, it was WAY scarier than the movie, even if it was all just made up.

Amityville Horror was scary bad, but it wasn't scary in the director's intended sense. If you legitimately believed that Amityville Horror was scary with an exclamation point, I should warn you about horror classics like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Exorcist: Director's Cut.

To be honest, neither the original TCM nor Exorcist: Director's Cut, scared me at all (and yes, I have seen both). The Amityville Horror was a little creepy, and I thought it had some entertainment value. It won't win any awards or anything, it was just plain average.
