How do you get your fix for movies?

I'm curious.... how many of you get most of your movies... by DVD? Or... theater? Or... download? <--Tsk... tsk... lol Wink

Truth is, I rent DVDs far more than I go to the movies. I use to go the movies at least once a week but I think as I get older I don't like the crowds as much.

Another truth be told... we have a guy at our work who makes copies of DVDs he rents. He doesn't sell them or anything, just makes a single copy so we can watch them at work. So, I get to watch quite a few there too. Cool

What about you?? Smile

I buy DVDs. I generally get them so cheaply, it makes sense to buy them instead of rent. I usually only pay a dollar or two more than it would cost to rent them. I haven't been to the theater in years.

I buy DVDs very, very occasionally. Sometimes I'll also hire them or borrow from friends.

I do 90% of my movie viewing by DVD via Netflix. Its easy, convenient and I don't have to pay 5 bucks for popcorn.

Netflix for me... I only buy DVDs if I REALLY like the movie and plan on watching it over and over.

I used to do NetFlix but now I support my locally owned video store instead.

We also attend movies at the local theatre about seven or eight times a year. It's a one screen theatre with a great ambiance - and again it supports local business.

I often buy DVDs as I tend to re-watch them quite a few times over the years, so in the long run, I guess it works out cheaper than renting a film several times.

But, unless it's something I really want, I tend to wait a while until the price drops on a DVD before I buy it.

I used to rent .. then moved to buying previously owned - now it's downloading and sometimes buying depending on the movie..

Well, now that the grocery stores have those $1 new release DVD kiosks, I have mostly been renting lately. If I want to see a new movie, will try to catch it at the drive-in. I only go to the theater if I absolutely must see a movie as soon as it comes out. Just too expensive nowadays. Other than that, I'll buy the DVD if I even remotely like the movie! Very Happy

I buy the DVD or download. If I like a movie I sometimes buy it on DVD because the makers deserve it and it's better quality.

If I really like the movie, I will get it on Blu-Ray/DVD, else I will probably see it on Cinemax/HBO/Stars on Television.
