I have seen bits of this recently (my son has been watching it on DVD)... the animation seems pretty impressive. How does it rank with Pixar's other work?

It's a not bad movie. I actually liked it. If you think that it's a good movie for your son, then get him other movies from Pixar. Bugs Life is not bad, but Pixar made better ones.

What are the other ones to look out for?

He is only 2 and a half, so just likes something to giggle it at rather than any in-depth plot to follow...

He likes Madagascar, Scooby Doo, etc. - that kind of thing.

Which came first... Bugs Life or Toy Story? I think it was Toy Story. Anyway, I really dig Bugs Life. Didn't they also to Finding Nemo or was that Disney only??
