"90% of the population in the world are stupid and expendable." If this is the kind of message that you want to get from a movie, what movie would you watch? If this is the kind of message that your friend wants to get from a movie, what movie would you recommend?

Hmmm... Good question. The first one that comes to mind for me is Collateral, because Tom Cruise's characters attitude is that killing one person doesn't matter because there are billions of other people.

City of God - It's about the life and times of rival gangs in Africa. The movie portrays everyone as a drug user or potential hoodlum.
Green Street Hooligans - The life purpose of a hooligan is to fight for soccer and territorial pride. Nobody in the film is portrayed with an IQ exceeding 70.
Junebug - It reveals the dreary livelihood of Southern families. They have nothing to do or talk about so they stare out the window, moan, cry and break down. A quarter way into the film, you just want to shoot everyone in the house.

... you mean, Brazil? You're talking about Cidade de Deus/City of God, right?
Taxi Driver - Travis Bickle who represents working class in a way is totally suicidal. Betsy who represents middle - upper class in a way looks very appealing outside, but you find that she has no class in the end. So, the movie essentially says that you're a depressed hopeless working poor or a shallow superficial middle - upper class.
A Clockwork Orange - Alexander 'Alex' de Large is a very violent and sadistic young man, but he gets arrested and he is forced to correct his mind and his behavior. However, that is when you realize that the rest of the society is very violent and sadistic as they try to
correct
Alex; in other words, there is no one gentle or civil. Everyone in the society is violent and sadistic.
... there should be quite a few movies like these.

Yes, it makes fun of the modern society and it actually portrays the modern society pretty well. Reality can be much worse. The movie is essentially a tragedy and it kind of implies that 90% of the population live mundane and worthless lives.

I'm not so sure if this movies says "90% of the population in the world are stupid and expendable." You can watch the movie and say "Wow, these people are worthless." I wouldn't disagree totally, but it's one perspective after all. You can also say "Wow, these people are having fun! Party on!" I don't think that the movie itself has any pessimistic message, though you can feel that way when you watch the movie in a large context.

Personally, I don't have a glorified opinion on frat guys making asses of themselves and being ignorant to the world beyond partying. Movies like American Pie and National Lampoon are themed after buckwild fraternities and the average party animals. People who belong to this drunken lifestyle, will identify and enjoy such movies. For others, it's little more than viewing teenage retardation through a microscope.
Alas, everyone receives various messages depending on their walk of life.

Most zombie movies. You hear about how all these people have been turned into zombies except for a select few who drive the plot along.
