Most versatile actress?

Who would you say is the most versatile actress out there? ie. an actress that is capable of a variety of roles.

That's a tough question. Juliet Binoche? She's never done action. Merrill Streep? I don't think she's done any action, either. Uma Thurman? Maybe.

Merryl (sp?) Streep - that sounds like a good choice to me. Also Julia Roberts perhaps?

I'm not too crazy about Julia Roberts, because I can't really think of any movie that I was truly impressed or moved.

Not a bad choice. Monster's Ball is probably my favorite movie featuring her.

Demi Moore. I don't call her classic actress, BUT there are quite a few movies that I like and feature her.

How about ... Jodie Foster?.

Didn't you like Erin Brokovich or Pretty Woman?

I liked both, but IMO, these movies are light entertainment. So, when I was asked to name the most versatile actress, I wanted to name an actress(es) who, I think, played a serious role.

Did Hillary Swank do any comedy?

Does Beverly Hills 90210 count? Razz

Honestly, I don't know. If not, I'd like to see her try that kind of role. I'll bet she'd do a fine job.

Hmmm ... let's just stick to movies. I wonder how she does in comedy.
