My Date with Drew Barrymore
The movie's about Brian, an average Joe who's had a crush on Drew Barrymore since the 2nd grade. Seeking to make the fantasy a reality, the documentary chronicles Brian's emotional journey to land a date with the girl of his dreams.
As fascinating as the subject may appear, the amateur, mundane directing doesn't necessarily elicit excitement from the viewers. It felt a lot like another reality TV show trying to set up a date for a nerd, only filmed on a cheap camcorder. Overall, I expected more entertainment out of a film that concerned a guy who was pursuing his ultimate dream girl. If Brian was a type of aspirin, he'd be generic brand. He's just not a naturally charismatic character. At the same time however, this is what gives the film credibility, because in its heart, My Date with Drew sends a hopeful message to dreamers in general.

Was curious about this movie when it came out.
You say it looks like its filmed on a camcorder? Then I probably won't see it.
There was a nother movie that came out around the same time based on dating (reality style).

I stopped watching Sandler's recycled movies after Anger Management so I can't tell you whether 50 First Dates was good or bad without extreme bias. However, one of my sources, who's a big fan of Sandler's said it was easily one of the worst Sandler comedies he'd ever seen.

Damn, I'm dumb or I was just tired.
I've seen 50 First Dates, not very good. But I was definatly thinking there was ANOTHER movie similar to My Date With Drew Barrymore.
