16 Blocks
16 Blocks is about a drunken detective with a grim outlook on life, fatefully uniting with an eccentric thug whose views are more hopeful. Running away from crooked cops, their shallow black-and-white relationship gradually evolves into something inspirational.
The movie's nowhere near as bad as critics panned it to be. A lot of people had a problem with 16 Blocks because it's a bit formulaic, but what isn't these days? I didn't expect anything to blow my mind during the viewing so I happened to enjoy the film. The dialogue is well-scripted and it's entertaining enough to watch with chips. I'd suggest a rental if you're seeking a good oldfashioned action flick. _________________
