Hitchcock: Man Who Knew Too Much
Just finished watching Hitchcock's remake of his own movie, The Man Who Knew Too Much. It stars James Stewart and Doris Day, an American couple who gets caught in between a crossfire of a political assassination scheme. When a secret agent confides sensitive information to Stewart, his son is kidnapped by the conspirators as ransom for his silence.
So far, this is my third favorite Hitchcock, following Psycho and Her Lady Vanishes. The well-written script spins a story with clever twists and a non-cliffhanger ending. I would recommend this film over Hitch's better known classics like Vertigo and The Birds. _________________
