I'm not alleging MTV viewers are intelligent movie watchers by any means, nor would I for critics. Bottom line is that the general public votes, not the critics and sure as hell not Hollywood. This is what sets it apart. You want another Academy Awards, go watch Golden Globes, Emmys, Film Actors Guild, etc.

Keyword being "Kids." You won't see movies like Batman Begins, Sin City and Wedding Crashers getting nominated on Nickelodeon's award show. They're more inclined to nominate child-friendly movies like Herbie Fully Loaded and Ice Age 2. _________________
