Running Scared!

Running Scared's ravaging plot is hard to summarize without butchering the director's vision and spoiling the fun. The general premise entails Walker embarking on a twisted goose hunt for the gun of a dead cop. He's essentially "running scared" because his life depends on the retreival of the crime accessory.

If you're a conservative movie watcher, I'd urge you to stay as far away from this one. Running Scared is action packed with unremorseful violence, sexuality and profanity. In other words, it's ideally a Maxim reader's dream come true. It doesn't make as much sense, as it's a high octane thrill ride. Think sorta Boondock Saints, in terms of what the director tries to accomplish.

This film has made me a Paul Walker fan, regardless of what critics say. The guy is legit. Paul Walker is to Running Scared as Sean Williams Scott is to The Rundown. In fact, you get some intense performances from all the actors involved. I'd give Running Scared an A for popcorn entertainment and even go as far as predict at least somewhat of a cult reputation in its future.

Haven't seen this type of movie for some time. Maybe I should give it shot ...

If you like a lot of profanity in your suspense movies, it delivers. Critics were generally offended by its endless streak of derogatory dialogue, but it's hysterical. If you were put into that position, you wouldn't be talking like Hello Kitty. I would recommend it if you don't seek a cause for everything that happens in the movie.
