Rate and discuss this director: Michael Bay

What movies directed by Michael Bay did you watch? What did you think about those movies? Your take on his directing skills?

Here are the movies he's directed...

Armageddon
Amityville Horror (remake)
Pearl Harbor
The Island
Bad Boys I&II
The Rock

I enjoyed the original Bad Boys but that's about it. It seems like the bigger his budget, the less substance his movies have.

If I had to rate him as a director from 0 to 10, I'd give him a 3. I'll never see another movie by Bay, unless Scarlett decides to work for him again.

Didn't he see her breasts? (I'm not joking here ...)

Must! Repress!

Now that you've reminded me of the asshat that he is, I give him a big fat zero. He's a heartless man to deny us. It's clear he filmed her for his home video collection. It's just not credible that a visually oriented director like Bay would decide to exclude it from the film, nor found in the Special Features. There's no reason to hold the footage back in the Deleted Scenes. No reason at all.

Well, the story goes like this ...

Jordan Two Delta/Sarah Jordan/Scarlett Johansson wakes up one morning next to Lincoln Six Echo/Tom Lincoln/Ewan McGregor in one scene in The Island. Michael Bay asked Scarlett Johansson to wear a bra because The Island is a PG-13 movie, and the movie needs to be seen family-oriented. Scarlett Johansson said No as she insisted that girls do not wear bras when they sleep; they certainly don't wake up next to men in the morning wearing bras. Presumably the discussion between Scarlett Johansson and Michael Bay took place in Scarlett Johansson's trailer, and as she insisted, she also demonstrated it (sort of). Thus, Michael Bay was seeing Scarlett Johansson's breasts. Was he video-taping (using hidden camera)? That, I don't know ...

He was in her trailer?! Shocked

This just keeps getting worse...

I always knew that Ewan McGregor was no good. He and Michael Bay as of this day have officially become my sworn enemies. For ruining my life, I'll do whatever it takes to convince naivetes from watching their films.

It still doesn't explain why Michael Bay didn't shoot two footages and release an "UNRATED" edition. The unrated concept always oversells the censored copy.

I don't like Michael Bay at all.

I enjoyed the Island, but that's all.

I like a good amount of his movies, however they have no substance. If you want to see something deep, do not watch a Michael Bay movie.
