The movie's about two girls, who're on their way to a rock concert, but instead get abducted, raped and murdered. The rape and murder scenes aren't graphic like Ichi the Killer or Irreversible. Still, few movies make you feel this nauseous. "It's so low-budget, it looks like a snuff film," says Eli Roth. "The movie looks like they really killed people while making it."

Ok, so I had chance to watch this film recently.

No, it doesn't for variety of reasons. However, the concept of the film itself is very violent. It is not a very pleasant film to watch in the sense that the violence in the movie is vicious and merciless. While killing two girls itself is not planned carefully, rape and murder are premeditated. People who do these are murders and rapists; their purpose is to rape and murder. This makes you feel very uncomfortable.

Another one from Wes Craven. I've never watched this, but I should try it out someday.

I haven't seen the original, and I probably never will. However, I've just had the opportunity to watch the remake by the directors of High Tension. It's a bit slow to take off, but it's quite an enjoyable film if you're into the slaughterhouse genre.

I wouldn't rank the remake of Hills above the original Texas Chainsaw however. I still believe TCM was a queesier experience than Hills. Matter of fact, Hills doesn't make you feel as nauseous as you would for Evil Dead.

I managed to afford some time for Fat Girl, as part of a recommendation within this thread. Sadly, I was quite disappointed. I would've never made a violent and disturbing connection with the film. It was a bland plot, and the final scene was extremely softcore compared to what I expected. I was set to undergo a brutal rape scene that could potentially traumatize me for a lifetime. I suppose my expectations were rather on the high end of the anticipatory spectrum. Laughing

Ok ... I appreciate that you took time to watch the movie, but apparently I did not describe what the movie was really about or why I felt it's so violent.

Fat Girl is certainly not as graphic as Baise-Moi. There is no penetration (that you can actually see), nor do you see genitals clearly. Fat Girl is very soft-core in that sense. I just felt that the idea was very violent when I watched the movie; I felt a bit disturbed as I watched the scene in which an underage girl got raped.

You know I actually thought the Texas Chainsaw Massacre was quite humorous. I couldn't stop laughing from beginning to end. I think that's probably how 'violence' made me react. lol

I'll definetly take the above films on board, some of them sound quite interesting and not just for a bit of laughter, but for an interesting viewing.

I'd like to get an uncensored copy of that movie just to see what all the fuss is about.
