Do you want to be a movie actor? Here is your start...

Our animated feature films have used unknowns for the voice overs. It's a simple way to find out if you can act, and you get your name on the credits of the film.

Voice acting is of course something that the Hollywood stars do too. They get paid a fortune for it because their name attracts the audience.

Our actors only get the fun and their name on the movie.

If you are interested to learn more read about the latest movie at the official website (http://godscompanion.blogspot.com) and then go to our own film forum where you can read more and register your interest.. (http://film.forumsplace.com)

I always wanted to become a movie director or a write, but I never really had any desire to become an actor.

Typo in the link...here's the correct address.

That sounds like fun. I've got a home recording studio so I can record my own voice overs and send wav audio files.

I actually it seemed that Goyo was simply self-promoting. This is why I edited the link. Posting links here is perfectly fine, but obvious self-promoting which doesn't really help anyone (aka forum spam) will be edited or removed.

It is for real... we seek a regular ensemble of talent..

The aim is to form a group across the world working together or apart to make more animated movies like the one we have completed.

It isn't just actors (male/female) that we want to form into a troupe, but also others involved in the various stages of animation which includes:

3D software model making
Choreography (moving and posing the models)
Rendering (filming the models within the computer)
Music ( especially singer-songwriters)
Sound effects makers

What we are doing is like what was done to create the operating systme Linux - lots of people doing bits and improving what has been done, all under the guidance of a project director.

I have already completed the first of these 60 minute animations using actors from many parts of the world, and models built in Brazil, Germany and America.

The second is now in production.

The method allows everyone a chance to get his or her name on a movie in some small or major way.

If you are interested please do register on the site

http://film.forumsplace.com in the section set aside for registering your interest.

It doesn't commit you to anything, but it may give you a completely new insight into the movies.

(Sorry about the typo.)

Yes its an Indie animation, but more...

Yes, you are right, but even more so.. its an'Open Source' indie production method.

The public can see bits of the film as it develops and follow it to launch.

Anyone who has enough talent and who gets into the approved group can contribute towards it in some way and see his or her name on the credits of the finished movie.

Its like how the Linux operating system got built.

Its the start of something BIG.

Lawrence Lessig often talks about this in his speeches, and he often uses an example of composing a song over the net. Creating a movie online similarly is conceivable.

Sounds like a great idea! I'm sure you're gonna end up with some very interesting results - and I suspect that it might just take off!

I just listened to half a dozen speeches of Thomas L. Friedman, and the stuff that he talks about and writes about is closely related to this. It'll be interesting to see how projects like this will come out.
