Carlito's Way is one of my favorites. Its not the best Pacino film, but I like the chemistry between Pacino and Penn in the movie.

just goes to show you Italian's are alot smarter then you look. LoL im just joking. Hope i didnt affend anymore.
But if you think about it movies make Italian mobs seem to be kinda dumb. But if they can organize like think, i would have to say thats pretty smart to me.

I think there are really smart ones and not-so-smart ones just like any organization. Well known big mafia family probably has really smart ones and really not-so-smart ones probably.
On one hand, it's not fair to always connect gangster and Italians; on the other hand, when you think about gangster's heyday, that's mid-20th century. So, there is certainly relevancy in terms of history.

City of God/Cidade de Deus is a gangster movie arguably, and this is a fantastic movie.
