What is your favourite genre?

Okay, I'm on a "What is your favourite..." binge!

Tell me your favourite genre... it could be any genre from any time in history, so I'll accept things like German Expressionism, Italian Realist film, Propaganda, Film Noir... and all the regulars like comedy, action, horror, sci fi etc

I have a soft spot for dark, moody, black and white film noir's from the 40's. My favourite and indeed one of favourite films of all time is "Double Indemnity" with Fred MacMurray.

Drama, and I like dark dramas. I kind of like stories that essentially imply that the only absolute knowledge attainable by a man is that life is meaningless.

I tend to use films as a chance to take a couple of hours off and relax so usually pick a comedy to watch.

I like sci-fi/fantasy movies the best probably. But I'm a pretty easy going guy, I like a lot of different kinds of movies.

What this guy said.

I'm a scifi/fantasy buff, but I watch anything that's good. Just like music. I like rock the most, but if it's good, I'll listen to it, even if it's taboo like country. Same thing with movies. Even if it has to do with gay cowboys, it warrants a viewing just for the controversial factor. Smile

I am a fan of war movies, such as Saving Private Ryan, Braveheart, The Patriot, and We Were Soliders. I love eipic movies too.

I am also into sci-fi/fantasy like Star Wars and Lord of the Rings

I prefer drama and science fiction. (But it's got to be good science fiction!)

Science Fiction and horror films are my favorites, but I will watch just about anything as long as it holds my interest.
