Well, it's based in remote Scotland. It's kind of a comedy, but not... it's a little surreal at times. It's quite slow going but I know it's quite a few people's favourite movie, although it's an usual choice because not many people actually have even heard of it.
Oh, and it's about a US guy from an oil company that's sent up to this remote Scottish village to essentially buy all the land so they can develop their business...
I won't say any more, don't want to spoil it.

It's quite quirky and the humour is low key. Probably not everyone's cup of tea. I think it's the kind of movie you either like or don't like, with nothing in between.
