Favourite Martial Arts Movie?
What is your favourite martial arts movie? I'd have to say Showdown in Little Tokyo or Enter the Dragon, both are excellent films and its a pity that both stars of the films were taken from us so prematurely. Still......great films!

Probably Bruce Lee and early Jackie Chen movies. Enter the dragon is excellent. "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon" is also excellent, but it's more like an epic story than pure Martial Arts movie. _________________

Hmmm ... you have a different taste from mine. Ok, so you like Little Tokyo and Enter the Dragon. Why do you like these movies? _________________

In Showdown in Little Tokyo I wouldn't say that Dolph Lundgren was a great actor, lol...but he was good at martial arts.

not sure about movie, probably a jackie chan one with some comedy in, don't like the 90 minutes of fighting and no story line ones. Did used to enjoy the odd cynthia rothrock film tho, always liked her. _________________

I like most of the Jackie Chan movies, don't have one favorite. He's one of my favorite actors. _________________

I'm sad none of you mentioned Ong-Bak: Thai Warrior. The guy is Jackie Chan's successor. None of his stunts use strings. He literally jumps on top of people's heads and starts walking on them. He could also do the 360 Kick Guile (from Street Fighter) does.
I forgot what the actor's name was, but anyone who's a fan of choreographed stunts and raw talent should give this movie a chance. The storyline is less than original, but the action scenes make the movie what it is. _________________

Crouching Tiger was okay for me. I wasn't as astonished as most of my colleagues, as I had seen similarly choreagraphed movies in the past.
I think House of Flying Daggers should've at least been nominated for best cinematography. It was absolutely beautiful the way the film was shot. Coincidentally, Memoirs won, which stars the same actress Xhi Xang. _________________

Yes, it was beautifully shot, and cinematography was fantastic. Customs were great. Choreography was great. Outside locations were great; they were beautifully shot. Girls were cute . The story wasn't that compelling unfortunately. _________________
